I have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of college students and interns during my career, and I take pride in seeing them go off to do great things. If you want to become a broadcast journalist — and you believe in the value of accuracy, responsible reporting, and good storytelling — then, I want to help you reach your goals.
That’s why I started the Breaking into Broadcasting project.
I am thankful to have had the good fortune of working in some great local news markets, leading up to my ultimate goal of reporting at the national level. It’s important to me to pay it forward. I built this site as a free, online resource for up-and-coming journos to find good, sound advice from industry professionals about the business.
Additionally, you can book a spot in the BOOT CAMPS offered here, limited to 10 participants per session. These intensive, hands-on training classes are hosted once monthly in Atlanta, and we also take the show on the road and travel to various cities to host the camps. They can be especially useful if you need to build a resume tape in order to get a job.
