A two-parter for you communications grads who are considering broadcast positions in public relations. Carlos Campos is a Public Relations Officer for the City of Atlanta Police Department, and his story is interesting because he started out in print journalism for the Atlanta Journal Constitution before switching over to press relations.
He describes the basics of his job, and he explains how he made the leap from reporter to broadcast spokesperson.
(Again, the audio is kind of crappy. Working on it; I’ll get better at it! You may have to pot up his answers to understand what he is saying.)
